I am running a huge symbolic problem in Maple 18. At the moment, I dont even know if there is enough computational power to suceed the computation.

 

However, I'd like to save a progress. And maybe to continue computation later.

Is there any way to save progress?

Hi,

I use Maple on my laptop computer (windows 8.1) with a small screen. My problem is that the text in the menus, palettes, plots etc. are so small so I can´t read it. I have set Large toolbar icons under the menu tools-options-interface and I use the zoom buttom on the toolbar but this only magnify the text in a document. I also use the magnifying glass in windows, but I find it very inflexible. Is there any better solution to this problem?

Hi all.  I have researched into this problem.  But I could not find a solution to this.

Here is an example.

I have a set of independent variables, say there are 5 of them.  They are 1. Gender 2. Age group 3. Full or part time 4. First language.

I have a set of dependent variables.  Let us consider for an example 6 of them.  They are (i) Develops breast cancer (ii) Develops skin cancer (iii) Develops lung cancer (iv) develops prostate cancer (v) Lives till 50 (vi) Lives till 60 ...

How do I perform the following prediction:

(A) If a person is male and above 50, what are the chances that he is likely to develop prostate cancer?

(B) If a person is female and works part time, what are the chances that she is likely to develop breast cancer and lives till 60?

I need to develop a code and formula to do this?  Can someone please advise?

I want your help in a problem.I want to substitute in a summarization ,the variables for Vi and ξi.Because the number of variables are more than 200 I want to know if there is a way to take them from the excel sheet and put the to my program.attached are the maple worksheet and the variables table

My old disc with the maple version 17 worked perfect, but later the disc has colapsed. So I changed the disc and installed the programm. The installation and the activation were successfull. But the programm doesn't start more. Only the command-version in dow-window. What is wrong?

If I type in a function in 2D Math, the text disappears. for example, if I type fsolve(), until fsolve, the text appears, but after i type (, the whole text disappears. How should I solve this? Thanks.

I have seen no posting on the following issue: on a high density monitor, example QHD+, where the resolution is 3200x1800, the titlebar, the palettes and the graphs are so small that they are essentially invisible. In addition, the symbols in the palettes overextend the edge of the palette. I see this with both Dell computers and Apple computers that run Maple under Windows. Is true with other computers? Is Maplesoft aware of this issue? I'm assuming it has something to do with the Java graphics library. Is there a solution?
