Question: Finding values of an independent variable such that the dependent variable is discontinuous

Hello,

so I have the following function to be plotted:

where x, y and k satisfy the following simultaneous equations:

where

and F is a positive, real constant.

I fix n and m to be specific integers.

I would then like to find the values of F such that a(s) is discontinuous. Or even better, F values that give either Re[f(s)] or Im[Re(s)] discontinuous.

As far as I can tell,  F=1 results in a(s) discontinuous and F=2, F=3 gives a(s) continuous but I would ideally like to know if there are any other F values that result in discontinuity.

Thankyou for your time.
