Hello, just a couple plotting related questions.

1.  I have a plot with 3 curves on it and the legend appears with curve 1,2, and 3 vertically stacked instead of horizontally side by side.  This shrinks my image incredibly.   How can I change this? 

2.  I would LOVE to have one curve solid, another dash, and the last dotted but they are HORRIBLY grainy.  I can't tell the dotted from the dashed, and I am pretty sure that I can't individually select each line after the graph is created.  Can someone help me with the syntax to plot these three curves without using the interactive plot builder?
