You are correct. I made a mistake. I should have indicated that I need MAPLE 9.

The reason is that I have a Maple procedure that will not run on my current version of MAPLE. I currently have version 14.01. In fact, it does not run on any version after MAPLE 9. When I attempt to do so I get the following error message:

Error, (in ...) cannot determine if this expression is true or false: ...

I know that I should simply rewrite the procedure, but because I only need it when I teach this course everyother year, it never seems worth it, especially because I have MAPLE version 8 and version 9 on an old Windows machine, and so I can run the procedure on it. However, I want to get rid of that old PC and I now only use Macs.
