But I have another  question, this time it is a word problem. Perhaps you can help me solve it:
A metal storage tank with the volume, V is to be constructed in the shape of a right circular cylinder surmounted by a hemisphere. What dimensions will require the least amount of metal?

I only got as far as the diagram and formula for the volume of cylinder: pir^2h

Some assistance would be much appriciated.
