@shadi alomari GENDEFGET is a routine based on DESOLV but I don't think it is actually a routine in the package, as you have already found.

@Preben Alsholm I'm not sure but I wonder if the order would change the speed at which one was accessing a certain library name?

That is if you prepepend the packages before the library, the time to access normal library packages could take ever so slightly longer than if you append the packages?  I don't really know but it would have to search through the added packages before reaching the library so I would think it would take a bit longer.

@Markiyan Hirnyk no this is for the label of the x axis not for the labels of the tickmarks.  Hopefully Maple 2016 (Maple 20) which is already in developement will have the option.

@Rouben Rostamian  I suppose it's just an illusion that the bead appears to slow down as it passes x=8.  Since the bead is frictionless, could probably just verify dx/dt is what it's supposed to be using energy conservation.

@Rouben Rostamian  Thanks for figuring that out.  It appears to move correctly until we move off to the right.  I am noticing a discrepancy but maybe it's just an illusion, as the bead falls off to the right during the animation it doesn't appear to move properly (ie not accelerating as fast as I would expect).

I substituted your fix for a

It used to be that questions/posts were put into a subfolder that users had to click into.  If we had a spam folder where initial posts of spam could be filtered off into that folder maybe it would be easier managed and the majority of users wouldn't have to bother even seeing the messages.

Re: delete as spam.  If someone accidentally or someone maliciously decided to spam delete the wrong user, say someone who has made substantial contribution to mapleprimes then all of his posts would get deleted (not good).  Alternatively if a normal user happen to post a user story which was classified as spam, it may get deleted along with the rest of his/her posts.

I would suggest not linking any previous posts by the user so that they are not to be deleted in case of such errors.

@acer the server I am on has restricted javascript so I cannot run any apps in the browser on mobius or run the maplecloud.

All I need would be a viewer, just a pdf version of the worksheet.  I could provide the file to members here to do it but I don't want to have to do that all the time.

@Leighmm No, I don't believe you can.  I've been pushing for this option for a few releases now.  There may be a workaround.

@tomleslie it's easy to understand his confusion once it's all layed out, but was trying to not give him the direct answer right away.

@ecterrab ah yes, thanks.

Using the answer you got

a := (-1/2+exp(2))*(x-2)-ln(2)+exp(2)

simplify(a)

evalf(%,3) # evaluate the last expression to 3 decimals

@al-faraj that is correct

the equation of the tangent line for f(x)=-ln(x)+exp(x) at x=2 is that.

y=6.89x-7.1

your commas instead of decimals were confusing.

@al-faraj Just simplify and you'll be fine.

@al-faraj what answer are you expecting?

Should we delete them or leave them for mapleprimes facilitators?
