@Preben Alsholm i don't see the keyboard icon. Can you help?

Instead of a = b, I get a-b.  Instead of a + b, I get a|b.  However, if I use the bold option, then the symbols appear.  This is annoying because I can't type the entire document in bold.  Any suggestions?

@Preben Alsholm I get a dash.  However, I just discovered that if I use the "bold" key, then the + symbol and = symbol work.  It's weird.  It's annoying to keep juggling between bold and unbold.  any suggestions?
