I was very surpised that after paying for the 64 bit Maple 12 for Linux, that at least ask to install a link to menu editor for gnome, also the Howto was a bit unclear, at least for a newbies, if one didn't know about ./ and where to exactly install the files for easy use on the system.  Also, why in the hell do I have the change the chmod values?  I paided money for it and now I have to be root to install it.  That would have been nice to put in the howto that is nessary, or atleast a note to check for that.  And, would a .svg icon be too much?

As for the gui, why is the graphic so sluggish, the program is very quick otherwise.  If just expected maple to look as good on windows as on linux.  The graphic for linux feels very dated retro, like the first X desktops.
