Thanks Joe, I admire your expertise.

I have saved your procedure for later use. First I have to study the DifferentialGeometry package and attain some confidence in it.

Since I am still new here I can't vote yet, but you and Alejandro definitely deserve upvotes for these contributions.

Brilliant! Thanks Joe for the swift and neat solution. I was hoping to find a single command to obtain the vector, but your formula also gives a perfect solution.

There is one more related question if I may...

I am using mainly the Vector Calculus package for analysis & modelling, but some operations are easier to perform in other packages. For example it is easy to find the projection of a vector on a plane using a single command geom3d[projection] in Geometry package, but not so simple in Vector Calculus package. I was trying to apply some of geom3d commands on the above given S1 surface defined by PositionVectors, but it doesn't recognizes it as a surface.

My question is:

Is there some command or compact way to convert parametric surfaces and curves defined by vectors in Vector Calculus Package (like S1 given above) to be recognized and usable in other Maple Packages?

Or with other words, can we share objects and results between packages in a direct or not too complicated way?
