Thank you, it was an interesting lecture.

Although, "what of the word" Eigen. Does it mean same? I don't think so. As your colored caulk ran out. There are many forms - possible.

Maths Exchange's take on it. Sincerely, Glen Ritchie

Whew!

My apologies "he writes things - everyone can use and understand." = Not just, here is how you calculate 10 factorial.

Love Richard Crandall's books. He seems to be the only person, getting it.

Write something, we can use and understand.

Following thru from his Worksheets, very useful. If you aren't a Maple master?

Due to moving, had to pack all the maths books. Needed something to get back up to speed, with Maple and such. Maple For Math Majors (*) I'll gladly recommend it. Not for novices, but for those wanting to do more than calculate Pi to 2,000 digits (or Tau!).

Worksheet 01, no problems; except on page 28 the || cat command. Now, it's cat(). concatenating expressions

Worksheet 02, very good - from deep into semantics - is that defined, how undefine, etc...

One small point, I guess since Maple 11 - the semicolon as a statement seperator is optional. Check help seperator for where is it still required - i.e. inside procs and such. (*) It appears the Maple makers made it optional and includes at end of line - when unseen.

Footnote: Check out this for a "make your own Random Math Paper."

Thank you divergently so. (math humor)

I know Maple is a powerful tool, just didn't know - how to approach this problem. You saved me a lot of time, now I can approach it the best way.

Sincerely, Glen

Thank you Joe. I thought, I was overlooking something.

I understand, my post is rather - lengthy. But, some pointers on the basics, is much appreciated.

Maple is a great product & I am glad, I chose it over the dirty word Mathematica.

However, when you compare - what is out there for printed material / ie books. The other guys rather have more.

My intention is to continue pursuit of this problem and write a book of my experiences. I'll announce more on that, in the months to come.

It does take a bit of getting used to. However, after a while - it makes sense.

Regards, Glen
