Currently, I'm coping equations that use j as the imaginary unit. So, I know what happens now. I'll keep in mind the problem that may occurs with a loop that uses j.

( j is used in my profile icon . . . )

Cheers !

@Mac Dude

Thank you for the feedback, Mac Dude !!

And, cheers !

Using a remote desktop connection from an iMac (Yosemite), to the Windows 7 computer with Maple 18, has this same lag loading all the symbols (Greek letters) on open palletes. So, it does this running natively on Windows but displayed on OSX. Not at all sure why.

@acer

That works for me !

And beats, by a long shot . . .

Cheers !!!

@acer

Hey acer,

So, if I use "x[2](s)", as you indicate, it works for me too. I often use script and greek letters. Now, it makes me wonder, if that is what caused my troubles in the past. Since that part of the equation was out of the scope of manipulation, so to speak, it didn't occur to me that it would cause trouble.

(Also, 18.01, Win7x64.)

Thanks for chiming in !!

local I; Works like a charm !

I want to use formulas that use "I" to represent moment of inertia.

Thanks a lot, Carl.

That help much, knowing that it is possible. The backslashes and forward slashese are tricky. Then, there is the "file:" scheme. I also had a problem that the path had a space in it, so parentheses were needed.

Opening in the browser is fine.

Lark, Thomas Richard, Thank you so much !

I'm using the 64-bit version of Maple 16.01 and Excel 2010 (32-bit). (Most people using Office 2010 install the 32-bit version on 64-bit operating systems. Otherwise, one must install the whole office 64-bit package, which has problems and limitation. I really don't know why Microsoft released 64-bit version other than to just show they could do it.)

Is it possible to use the Maple addin with the above setup ? I tried selecting WMIMPLEX64.xla, but Excel appears to want WMIMPLEX.xla (from the 32-bit).

What is the easiest fix ? Can I find a copy of WMIMPLEX.xla (for the 32-bit version of Maple) and use with with Maple64bit and Excel32bit ? Do I need to uninstall Maple64-bit and install Maple32-bit ?

Thank you for any insight !
