Yes, this is what I've done in the past. The problem is that I'm running a loop generating ~50 eps files that I want converted to pdf. I've been doing this one-by-one but obviously this is a bit tedious. I realize there is software that does this but I figured I'd try to save time by doing this from the beginning.

Thanks for the example. I see how this makes the color of the x-axis tickmarks blue and the color of the y-axis tickmarks yellow, but I'm still not sure how to make x=-1,1 blue and x=-1/2,1/2 red. Is it possible to alter your example to do this?
