I am a professor of mechanical engineering and work in the field of mechanics of composite materials, engineering educational research, and thermal stresses. I am using Maple to develop an NSF funded website for a course in Numerical Methods (http://numericalmethods.eng.usf.edu). I also use Maple to symbolically set up Fortran code for problems in nanoindentation for nanocomposites.
