My exposure to the topic of Fourier Transforms is very cursory--maybe a few weeks work as part of an undergraduate math course (in an engineering program.) However, I am now returning to the subject for a while and, reading material, noticed that some routines scale the Fourier coefficients differently. So now I am wondering: Why do different routines scale the coefficients differently? If the purpose of the Fourier Transform is to extract the components of circular motion from data, shouldn't it all work out the same?

Hi, folks.

I am presently working on a computer with no math software installed and would like some help with one quartic equation:

227.0207672x^4 - 703.4677734x^3 + 845.7313843x^2 - 465.6021423x + 98.41660309 = 0

I just need numeric results.

I tried to use the online Maple Math Oracles, but they don't seem to be working right now (at least, not for me).

I have done searches for other online tools, but so many come up with different answers.

I was recently browsing the Wolfram website, in particular the Online Integrator, and was very impressed that they are exposing a part of their product for free public use. I also noticed that they offer the option of submitting previously unknown anti-derivatives to them:
