one more question, im confused on how to find local max and min, i thought it was by solving the first deriv set to 0?  or is it setting the 2nd deriv to 0?  and also, how do i find where f(x) is increasing or decreasing?  thank you.

im also trying to plot two functions in the same axes, ive looked through help forever, but have no idea how to do it, any suggestions?
