@Preben Alsholm ode1 was the ode I was aiming to type out. I haven't had trouble solving it for the case y=0 but for y not =0 and two boundaries I'm struggling to solve this in Maple 2020.

@dharr the problem does seem to be with fsolve. fsolve has a complex option but it seems to be for complex polynomials only, if I am not mistaken, which the IVP solution is not, or perhaps I am using it wrong. Furthermore I will need to get permission to upload my worksheet but I wasn't aware that was an option, thank you!
