Thanks for the lesson on Maple. I see I've a lot to learn.

I'm running Maple 2021.0. When I run your worksheet I do not get sight of the issue at r=3/2. But do get the same final result. Can you offer an explanation for the difference?

Thanks for the update. But I want to obtain an analytic expression. I'm wondering if this problem has some property that stops Maple providing an analytic solution.
