Yup, some very wrong going on, my own idiocy in evaluating the right things to use. Turns out the non-dimensionalising coefficients were meant to be multiplied by instead of divided by. Thanks for your help all the same, it would have taken me a while to work back to such a minor thing. Not a Maple problem at all :S

With regards to those fraction trees, the bottom on is the one which i need to evaluate, however, only the top one gives the right answer. Is there a way to almost trick Maple into thinking one is the other? The rest of my work somewhat relies on being able to substitute these types of fractions into each other.
