ok i've looked at the code that you've written and the first block of code always produces the same number (2691), but the second block does change numbers when you execute it, so i tried just using the second block of code but keeping from the first block the (restart; die := integer(range=1..6):) but when i paired that with the second block of code it kept giving me the same number, so i'm confused! i'm not sure why it does this or why it seems that we need the first block of code in order to make the second block work correctly.

sorry if this is a stupid question, but i'm very new to maple and i don't really understand a lot of it.

if someone could help that would be great!
