@Carl Love The reason I did the simplify call first is because combine leaves a sqrt of m in the numerator

@Pascal4QM Amusingly I tried that, but for some reason when doing:

simplify(solve(m*v^2/2*Unit('J') = F*x/2*Unit('J'), v)[1]) assuming positive
combine(%)

It still generates the same result:

Any other ideas?
