Thank you for your answer. However, in my original post I was trying to show the fact that somehow the combinat[randperm] command is not affected by "randomize()" at all. If you try to execute the entire worksheet multiple times (using the "three exclamation marks" toolbar button), it would give the exact same result.

This also creates a problem when someone uses combinat[randperm] in a maple command line script (.mpl). If he put "restart" and "randomize()" at the start of the script, and also use combinat[randperm] in the script, then the set of result he get will be the same every time the script is run.
