@tomleslie As I am new to Maple, I remain appreciative of any assistance I can get and also welcome the opportunity to learn the rudiments surrounding the various concepts (which I have been doing).

@Carl Love Thank you for the help, patience and understanding. Well appreciated.

@tomleslie I'm sorry if my questions irritates you. Just that I am a new user of Maple and I thought I could benefit from expert users in the forum. I meant no harm.

@tomleslie Thank you for the help. Please, how do I select the columns I want to export without having to export the entire table.

@tomleslie Please can you advice on what to do as my export command does not yield any output. I have checked the installation folder for the exported file yet no result.

I used the command;

Export(M1B, "JUNR.xls", 1, "D4:F7")

The file is attached here: ematry1.mw

Thank you.

@tomleslie Many thanks for the help. Apologies for the mix-up as regards Maple 17 and Maple 2017.

@Carl Love Thank you so much, It worked.

@Carl Love Actually, I was trying to reproduce Tom's suggestions using my mechine (Maple 17). I was hoping the insight aquired from this would enable me compute a larger scaled data that I have.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to obtained the results of the computation as obtained by Tom on his worksheet using the data I uploaded. Please see ematry1.mw

I do not intend to combine the two Matrixes but to compute a function using data in the last column of the matrixes and append the results of the computed function to create a new column on each of the Matrixes. That is; the final result should include a new column in each of the matrixes as achieved in Tom's worksheet (using Maple 18).

I would be grateful for any help.

@Carl Love @tomleslie Thank you very much for these, they were quite what I was looking for.

@inteli I have executed the script on my mechine and still got the error "Error, (in Matrix) this entry is too tall or too short: Array(1..7, {(1) = 6.477225575, (2) = ...".

I am using Maple 17.00.

Please is there any way I could work around this challenge? I have even tried on other files but after a successful execution of the codes got stock at the append column point, with the same error as stated above.

Any further help is appreciated.

@tomleslie I will do as adviced and get back to you. Many thanks.

@tomleslie Thank you for the reply. I am using Maple 2017. Please find the attached files as requested.inteliTry1.mw, inquiry1.xls Thanks once again.

@tomleslie Thank you so much for the help. However, I keep experiencing the error below, on execution:

Error, (in Matrix) this entry is too tall or too short: Array(1..7, {(1) = 6.477225575, (2) = 6.522680509, (3) = 6.477225575, (4) = 6.630275304, (5) = 6.753259945, (6) = 6.865151319, (7) = 6.805170109})
Error, (in Matrix) this entry is too tall or too short: Array(1..6, {(1) = 6.924525297, (2) = 7.115553941, (3) = 7.140032573, (4) = 7.140032573, (5) = 6.941380311, (6) = 6.656854249})
Error, (in Matrix) this entry is too tall or too short: Array(1..7, {(1) = 862.91, (2) = 771.99, (3) = 761.01, (4) = 800.04, (5) = 857.44, (6) = 917.14, (7) = 840.15})
Error, (in Matrix) this entry is too tall or too short: Array(1..6, {(1) = 876.01, (2) = 1060.41, (3) = 1049.21, (4) = 1055.50, (5) = 966.46, (6) = 829.19})

I would appreciate any further assistance.

@Carl Love Thank you for the reply and help. I really appreciate the guide. However, the attached file is the sample file I am working on. I needed to write codes to execute information inquiry1.xls on column E staring from E3 and output in column F, for sheet 1 and 2.

I would be grateful for any further insight.
