I am trying to upload a sample file with those underscored variable names that are not working but I can't find how to do it . I tried to access My files on the top left menu and upload that file. But I cannot see any option or any button to click to send the file to you.

About question 1, I'm getting the same result using: [shift]+[-] or [ctrl]+[shift]+[-] It is perhaps because I'm using a foreign keyboard (portuguese). I'm not able to get the underscore character in Maple; I always get a subscrpit as of pressing [ctrl]+[shift]+[-] To get an underscore I'll have to paste it from any other software such as Word. I'll try to find out what is wrong with that. About subscripts, when I paste an equation with subscripts from MathType everything seems ok. But when I try to assign values to those variables with subscripts (before the equation) and then evaluate the equation, Maple does not recognize the values assigned to those variables with subscripts. With other variables with no subscripts everything is fine and their assignments are recognized. I am not sure what is wrong with that. About question 2 I was thinking there would be would be something faster to get greek letters such as in MathType (to get alpha you press [ctrl]+G+a). Thank you for your help.
