OK, with inplace='false', it works for me too - thanks. However it still fails for inplace='true' and I don't quite understand why I have to use the inplace parameter at all. Acoording to my understanding the documetation I don't have to. Is that the bug, you were talking about?

 

As far as the GF package above in concerned I'm aware that it makes no sense to combine that with LinearAlgebra[Modular]. My intention was to use it with LinearAlgebra[Generic] instead (see original posting), but I somewhat failed to do so as well. Hence I was asking for a small working example for instance doing what the code above is supposed to do, but using LinearAlgebra[Generic] + GF rather than LinearAlgebra[Modular].
