I would like to have each variable contained in a separate row in the final determinant - that is, no mixing of variables within a row.

But for plotting a nomograph with 3 variables, I need a 3x3 determinant with separated variables.  My apologies for not making that clear.

I am aware that the determinant is likely not be unique.
