Hey thanks for the help! I realized last week that apple had a new java update, which basically was causing the problem. To fix it you need to follow the steps here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303526 you can leave J2SE 5.0 for you applets. You just need to make sure J2SE 1.4.2 is above J2SE 5.0 in the white box. And that should solve the problem.
