what I don't understand is that if you have a function f(x, ϴ) andyou take f1st and 2nd derivatives to get gradient & hessian matrix, does that mean that x, ϴ are both variables or ϴ is a parameter. the function is

yi = Ϫ0 Xi / (Ϫ+Xi ). find gradient & hessian
