Alex, Oh I hadn't realised that the return value could actually be a float :) Thanks

Your ideas are sensible, however it doesn't work that way in Maple TA. Answers can only be right or wrong. It is not possible to have a partial mark. My question is actually a technical one on the code limitations of Maple TA. I want to know if anyone else has managed to get this to work and how you can do so. Maybe it is not possible to chain inline/multipart questions...

As a quiz, the questions run about the same speed on our server as on yours. We have not yet tried it out with lots of students hammering it an once. In the question bank editor on our server, everything is a _lot_ slower... for development purposes this is a little frustrating when you are trying to develop code. Thanks a lot for your help :)

Well we have tried the bank on 3 different systems with varying cpu speeds and amounts of memory. The systems were ubuntu, solaris and some other linux. What specs are the system that you use? Which browser do you use? If possible, it would be great to try out the question bank on your system to see how it should run. Thanks!
