Thank you very much, I think that's what I need.

Trouble is, Maple doesn't seem to recognize FormalPowerSeries as an arguement here. I tried other variations, and tried loading the powseries package as well, but it doesn't seem to work. I couldn't find a help page either. Is it from an unusual package? Thanks in advance!

Goodness, that's quite a document. I'll look over it, thank you.

Hi again,

I appreciate the quick reply! But i think that the relationship is true. I know, I get confused over the z vs. z/(z-1) thing too. I think what you maybe meant to write above was:

hypergeom([1,1],[3],z)

(1-z)^(-1)*hypergeom([1,2],[3],z/(z-1))

These two things are equal. Wait! A ha! I see what you mean. Looking at my original post, I see that I mistakenly wrote the last argument in the second function as: z/(1-z), but what I meant to write was z/(z-1). Good catch! Anyways, is there a way to specify the arguments you'd like to see in the hypergeometric function output? Thanks again.
