that did not solve the cosx=x  should be y=x straight line and the cosx graph with intersection as

the solution. so there should be 2 lines i tried it at wolfram alpha and it interpeted no problem i am sure that

maple 17 can do it , but i am having trouble communicating that equation to maple software.
