By searching here, I found that versions of Maple 10 worked under previous versions of Fedora, perhaps with some fiddling with security issues. So I called Maplesoft about Maple 11 and was offered an evaluation copy. I downloaded it and it worked. So I purchased it and I've been usning it. Since the last version I used was Maple 8, I've got a lot of catching up to do.
