@Axel Vogt The old private messages are no longer available through MaplePrimes. However, we still have a backup of the messages.

If anyone requires their old messages, please send me a message through the contact form, and I'll send you an export of the old messages sent to your account.

We've created redirects for the majority of pages from old Primes, so most links should still work.

Can you show me an example of a Google result that links to a broken page?

@Christopher2222 Unfortunately, that image file is also missing. I'm quite certain that the image has been gone for a while, that it wasn't the migration to the new site that caused the files to be lost.

Unfortunately, it looks like the images for that post are gone. Both in new and old Primes. I'm not sure what happened and I'm sorry for losing them. The vast majority of posts had their files move over correctly.

If you see any other posts that have their files or images missing, please let me know.

I'll increase the width that the math expressions are rendered to. Clearly, the current width doesn't work well.

In order to speed up the rendering of the recent pages, we don't load what the action was. In most cases, the action will be a new comment, so I don't believe it is worth the extra time to load this information.

The main reason we changed "Blog Posts" to "Posts" was to encourage more people to create Posts. From our reading, users felt that by creating a Blog Posts, they're obligated to create and maintain a regular Blog, requiring new entries on a regular basis.

We feel that by calling them "Posts", it makes more sense to users to create one-off Posts, without needing to worry about maintaining a regular collection of Posts.

The Maplesoft Blog is essentially the same as the old Maplesoft Blog that used to live at www.maplesoft.com/blog. We simply have migrated the blog into MaplePrimes, allowing the Maplesoft Blog to receive more visiblity among our most passionate users.

Regarding Private Messages. This feature has been removed from new Primes. There is still a full ability to contact members privately, but this now simply sends the user an e-mail. The messages are no longer managed directly by MaplePrimes. This change should make it easier for people to talk amongst each other as they can simply e-mail each other using their favorite e-mail program instead of logging into MaplePrimes.

I'm trying to figure out why the date posted is sometimes showing up incorrectly. It doesn't seem consistent, so I'm not quite sure what is happening.

Good idea showing the date a badge was earned, I've logged that idea, and we'll probably add it soon.

Axel has already pointed out the problem with the <pre> tag in the editor. I'll be looking to see if I can find a fix to this issue.

First, I converted this Question into a Post under the MaplePrimes Suggestions category. That's why you received the error message, you tried to post just as I was converting the question to a post.

You can see your own posts off of your user page by clicking on "Posts".

You can uncheck the "Subscribe" box before submitting your posts. We do plan to add a setting that will keep the box unchecked by default.

I am looking into finding a way to increase the size of the font in this editor. We switched editors because the old one didn't work in Google Chrome and it was more difficult to maintain.

Are you happy with the Preformatted option? Yes, I see that the font doesn't match the output, which is obviously not good.

The first time a Post loads, it takes longer as it needs to fill up a cache, performance is a lot better on future loads.

15 characters is a tiny number, the requirement is there to make sure that people ask a full question or a complete thought. A note that the limit isn't there for answers and comments, so a comment of "Yes" or "Good" is quite ok.

On the new MaplePrimes, posts have a single thread of discussion, so when items from old Primes were converted to Posts, all replies where converted to a flat list ordered by date ascending.

Questions support a single level of threading with Answers and Comments. In the conversion, we converted top level replies to Answers and all replies to Answers into comments.

We've reduced the level of threading in order to make it easier to follow the discussions on MaplePrimes. On the old site, threads became so deep that it was very difficult for someone just coming into the thread to follow what is happening.

We don't want to stifle how people use MaplePrimes, so we added the "Branch" feature, which lets you break the conversation off into a new Question or Post. This can be useful when users see the conversation is heading a different direction that requires a new thread of discussion.

It sounds to me like you are talking about the Badges list. That page actually lists all badges on the site, the numbers next to each badge are the number of users that have earned that badge.

To view the badges that you have earned, visit your profile page. Badges can only be earned once, so there is no tally there. Sorting the list may be useful in the future when more users have earned more badges, and we'll consider it then.

Sorry, I moved the images folder instead of copying it. I just copied the files back, so the personal icons are now working correctly again.
