Clearing this one up: This should be fixed in the new MaplePrimes.

I'm glad you like the new site, we've been working on it since January, so it's great to hear that people like it.

The new site is running on 100% custom code. This means that we're able to customize it exactly as we'd like and can make updates very quickly.

I fixed the problem with editing your profile; please try again.

IE6 has many bugs in how it renders web pages, because of this designs for modern browsers (IE6 was released in 2001) don't always work in IE6.

We don't specifically support IE6 for MaplePrimes. Even Google is no longer supporting IE6. I suggest you download a new browser such as FirefoxChrome or even IE8.

This is a known issue and I have already fixed it in our development version. It will be rolled out to the site soon.

We want to encourage people to vote as much as they can. To avoid having people to worry about others reacting to their votes, we intentionally don't display who has up or down voted the posts. We of course log all the information in the database so if nessesary, we can look the information up, but it won't be displayed publicly.

Down votes are there so that if people see content that is obviously bad, or too highly rated, they can down vote that item. We don't think people will use down votes too often as when you leave a down vote, it causes you to lose 1 point of reputation. If people wish to share their reasons for up voting or down voting, we encourage users to leave a Comment explaining why they voted.

@Axel Vogt I received your message here and through the contact form. I am currently working on pushing fixes for various issues found on the site after launch. I haven't forgotten your request and will send the messages to you in the next week.

@Alec Mihailovs There is no way we can stop people from creating multiple accounts. You can only create one account per e-mail address, but it is easy to get a free new e-mail address.

Yes, it is possible to use one handle to up-vote the posts from another handle, but in order to be able to up vote posts, you need 10 reputation. So this means that in order to be able to create another handle to use to up vote your own posts, you would first need to create posts under that new handle, that receives up votes from other users.

Also, we are monitoring up votes from users, if we see any unusual behavior, we will fix the inconsistent votes and notify or block the offending user.

@Dave L Unfortunately, a number of files have gone missing and cannot be recovered. I'm not sure when they are lost, I don't believe the migration to the new site was the source for the missing files.

@Christopher2222 Thanks for fixing that

You can bookmark http://www.mapleprimes.com/recent/all that will always show you all recent posts including the ones you've read.

@Christopher2222 Which version of IE are you using? I checked IE 7 & 8 and don't see the same layout issue on the recent page.

You can also submit a Software Change Request. Which submits a bug directly into Maplesoft's tracking database.

This link is found beneath "More" in the MaplePrimes header.

Also, as Google and our Google mini re-index the new site any links pointing to the old Primes urls will go away and be replaced with direct links to new Primes.

The idea with re-ordering answers is that the best answer as chosen by up-votes will appear right below the question. That way when someone views the question in the future, the best answer will be right at the top.

Answers should be written to be stand-alone. If you are replying to a previous Answer, you should instead post a Comment on that Answer instead of posting another Answer.

The easiest way to subscribe to absolutely everything on Primes is to subscribe to these three RSS feeds:

Latest Posts

Latest Questions

Latest Comments & Answers

Everything that is ever posted to Primes will appear in one of those feeds. And the Comments & Answers feed should satisfy your request for "Recent Replies"
